Harry J. Collins, Jr.  

Harry "Jim" Collins, Jr., 82, of Conshohocken, PA passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

He was born in Norristown, PA on August 2, 1938, the son of the late Harry J. and the late Bertha ( Brueninger) Collins.

Harry has lived in Conshohocken most of his life.  He was a graduate of Conshohocken High School and received his MBA from LaSalle University.  He also served in the US Air Force, where he received the Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, where he was a lector and taught RCIA.

He was active in many sports, including 4 years on baseball teams, while serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. He played basketball for the Church League of Conshohocken, softball for Springmill Fire Co., and participated in many softball tournaments. He was also an avid horseshoe player, who was very competitive and organized many tournaments

He was employed as a Corporate Tax Director with SKF. 

He was the husband for 57 years of Marlene ( Zinni ) Collins. 

Survivors include Wife Marlene Collins of Conshohocken, PA, Son Harry J. Collins, III of Conshohocken, PA, Brother Gary Collins of King of Prussia, PA, Sister Donna Destra of Philadelphia, PA.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Collins.

His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.

Friends may call on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the church. 

Interment will take place in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.  

Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Matthew RC Church - 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
