Obituary of Joseph W. Hackett

Joseph "Joe" W. Hackett Of Royersford, PA, Passed away on Saturday, January, 19 2013 after a short illness, with his loving wife Christine by his side, at the Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. He was 53. Christine was at Joe's side for the past two months of his illness. She never left his side. A son of Geraldine (Jackowski) Barbone and the late Salvatore J. Barbone, he was born in Norristown,, Pa. on September 19, 1959. Raised in Swedesburg,Pa. Joe has been residing in Royersford for the past 13 years. He was the loving husband of 10 years of Christine E. (Johnson) Hackett. He was a Stationary Boiler Engineer last employed with URS Corporation with Pfizer Pharmaceutical Corporation of Collegeville, Pa for the past year. He previously worked with the Tengion Corporation of East Norriton, Pa. He attended Upper Merion High School. Joe enjoyed music and was an accomplished drummer. He had a special love of cars and was proud of his 67' ProStreet Chevy II Nova. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley along with his wife, who road alongside with him with her own cycle. He enjoyed spending time his family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all. Besides his mother and wife, Joe is survived by 3 sons, Joseph A. Hackett, of Trappe, PA, Shawn D. Hackett of Spring City, PA and Conor J. Hackett of Phoenixville, PA, 3 brothers, David L. (Tina) Hackett of Douglassville, PA, Stephen L.(Kim) Hackett of Palmyra, PA and Michael A. (Wendy) Barbone of Spring City, PA and 1 sister Chris (Carmen) Candello of Phoenixville, PA. He is also Survived By many Nieces and Nephews And Many Great Nieces and Great Nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Service for Joe on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 12:00 PM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
