Obituary of Robert E. Zimmerman

Robert E. Zimmerman, 86, of Boyertown, PA passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024.

He was born in West Norriton, Pa on February 10, 1937, the son of the late Elliott Cresson and the late Dorothy (Metz) Zimmerman.  Bob has been living in Boyertown, Pa for the last 6 months, formerly of Conshohocken, Pa, where he has lived since 1961.  He was a member of Plymouth Meeting Friends.

Bob was involved in Boy Scouts of America, F & A Masons Warren Lodge No. 310 and Scottish Rite Allentown, Long time treasurer of Sanatoga Grange #25, and he volunteered as a Poll Worker.

He worked as a Store Room Keeper with Philadelphia Electric Co..

He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia M. (Kaufmann) Zimmerman of Boyertown married for 62 years; and 7 nephews and nieces; David, Susan, Chris, Janet, Jeff, Dale, and Dianne.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his six siblings; Mary, Joyce, Eleanor, Charolette, Walter, and Elizabeth; and 2 nephews James and Douglass.

His Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11:30 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.  Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Funeral Home.  

Interment will take place in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
