Obituary of Elizabeth P. Foster

Elizabeth Patricia Smith Foster was born in Minersville, PA on February 22, 1924.  She passed peacefully on December 25, 2023 at Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell, PA.

As a child, she loved roller skating, ice skating and playing the piano.  After graduating St. Francis School in Minersville, she earned her diploma in nursing at St. Agnes Hospital in Philadelphia and was an OR nurse.  This is where she met her husband, Bill.  She also served three years as a U.S. Nurse Cadet.  She was a gifted pianist, loved gardening and won an award for her prized dahlias.  Later in life she had an antique shop for twenty-two years and also had a passion for dogs as she hosted dog shows for twenty years at Normandy Farms Estates.  She was a member of St. Francis Ladies Auxiliary as well as a volunteer at Norristown State Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Robert Smith and her husband, Dr. William Foster.  Her surviving family includes her son Scott and (Denise) Foster, her daughter, Suzetta Eason, 3 grandchildren, one great grandson, and two nieces.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM from St. Helena RC Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Helena RC Church. 

Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery Co., West Norriton, PA.  

Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown, Pa 19401.
