Obituary of Dorothy S. Zygmont

Dorothy (Szmigiel) Zygmont, age 85 of Plymouth Meeting, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Parkhouse at Providence Pointe in Royersford. Wife of the late Thaddeus J.Thaddeus J. Zygmont. Born in Conshohocken, PA on September 23, 1927, daughter of the late Bertha (Ciakowski) and Stanley Szmigiel. Dorothy has lived in Plymouth Meeting since 1960. She was a member of St. Paul's RC Church of Norristown. Graduated from St. Mary's Grade School, Conshohocken High School Class of 1945, Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing, and Villanova University. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse with Bryn Mawr Hospital where she was Head Nurse & Patient Care Manager, she worked with the hospital for 42 years before retiring in 1989. She is a member of Bryn Mawr Hospital Nusing Alumni, P. A. L. & Golden Angels Bowling Leagues, St. Mary's Church Golden Agers, Plymouth Community Center, & Fellowship House Seniors. Along with her parents and husband Thaddeus J. Zygmont, she was preceded in death by two brothers Sylvester & Carl Szmigiel and a sister Stella Holland. She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, & great great nieces & nephews . Her Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday January 19, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. from the St. Paul RC Church, 2007 New Hope Street, Norristown. Fr. Harry E. McCreedy officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00A.M. at the Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
