Marcia, my friend of 50 years.
She had a spark, a way of keeping upbeat and always ready with a laugh that was contagious. I never heard her complain these last several months, barely passing a remark about her own health challenges. It was always “how are you”? What are the kids doing these days”? “What have you been up to lately”? She was so kind, so thoughtful, always more concerned about the other.
I will dearly miss the phone chats and the birthday lunch outings we shared with Judy. The deep conversations about books we’ve read and shared, matters of spirituality and philosophy, travel , art and good food.
How grateful I am to be reminded of all the remarkable things Marcia accomplished throughout her lifetime. She was so generous to her causes that truly made life better for so many, especially, those children she loved at Hope School.
Marcia leaves a giant imprint in my heart and many others. Now she is with God. I pray and truly believe that, someday, we will be together again.
