Mr. Pishock was a big influence on me. I had asked him about combat once, and I learned more than I expected - I learned about the fragility of life, survival, perseverance, his compassion for the fallen foe, and faith. And that was just from one story, imagine what I learned in the past 4 decades!
I’ve been lucky to know your family for over 4 decades now, the memories of Mr. Pishock at Polk Rd are many and deep. The amount of laughter and joy experienced with him and the family I cherish dearly, and to some extent I probably owe a bit of an apology to both Mr. and Mrs. Pishock for - well, the late nights, music, jokes and for a bit of mayhem I may have contributed to - Sorry Mr. and Mrs. Pishock.
The family gatherings where momentous and legendary! Mr. Pishock was the cool dad that you could talk to and party with, and I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the hospitality, generosity and the warm welcome from Mrs. Pishock through the years.
Along with my apology, I also want to say thank you for the years of learning, love and enrichment I experienced.
And lastly, I give my deepest condolences to the family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you - as I will deeply miss the man that I looked up to.
Semper Fidelis Mr. P. Until we meet again.

I grew up with Jimmy on West Elm Street and cherish the thoughts of spending time in the neighborhood with him and our other neighbors. They were great days. Jimmy was always a good person. He married a childhood friend friend, Carol Hylinski. I think they made a wonderful couple. I am so sorry Carol. Rest In Peace Jimmy.
