I will always remember 'Uncle David' as a happy, kind and smiling man. I have many memories of all of us celebrating our various childhood birthdays together at the Hatfield Dumke House. Sincere condolences to the Dempsey family. I knew Dave from CYO sports starting in 2006. He helped coach our Velocity Travel softball team when Meg was 13 and we all enjoyed his company and friendship during those years. Rest In Peace my friend. Rick Konowal

Dave was a great guy and always full of joy. One of my greatest memories was when he visited me in Charlotte, NC and we went to a NASCAR race. Special time. Thanks for introducing him Robert to me. May his soul rest in peace. God bless.

for 16 years i've worked with Dave. I've never met a more forthright, kind, compassionate and devoted person. His skill and craftsmanship were never in doubt. He was the beating heart of our our company and will be sorely missed.

I’m lucky to say Dave is my best friend. He was my best man. Anyone who knew Dave aka “Rope” knows he was the best of everything that matters. There are 43 years of memories, stories, laughs and talks that I will always treasure and be grateful for. I think I enjoyed most when Rope talked about his wife Marya and daughter Megan — they celebrated a wonderful life together. I still remember when Dave told me that Marya was the one. If there’s a Hall of Fame for friends, uncles, brothers, sons, dads, and husbands — Dave’s in all of them. Carol, Joann, Brian, Megan, Marya…I love you. I love Dave. I always love you Rope. We’ll continue our talks.
