Obituary of Katherine May Solomon

Katherine May Solomon, 86, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

She was born in Rutland, Vermont on May 11, 1935, the daughter of the late Leslie James and Winnifred (Plue) Oram.  She graduated valedictorian from Fair Haven High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Vermont.   

Kathy has been a resident of the Peter Becker Community in Harleysville for five years, formerly of North Wales and Perkasie PA.

In her professional life she had been Vice President of Mortgages for Commonwealth Federal Savings and Loan, and later a real estate agent with Century 21.

She was a lover of animals, historian, avid reader, passionate Eagles fan, and more than anything enjoyed a green thumb and passing along her love of gardening and caring for the Peter Becker greenhouse.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Burkhardt and Shane (& Christina) Solomon; brother in-law, Robert Lussier; five grandchildren, Kelly, Melissa, Shane, Abbey, and Tessa; four great granddaughters; and niece, Erin Peteani.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Burkhardt, and sister, Theresa Lussier.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on March 24th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.

All are invited to luncheon 12:00 pm at Hotel Fiesole, 4046 Skippack Pike, Skippack Village, PA 19474
