My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. I remember when my cousin, Reds, took me in to live with her on Kohn St. when I was in high school and treated me just like one of her daughters. She was a fun, loving, and caring person. I hate the fact that awful covid-19 took her life. She is in arms of Jesus now.

Sincere condolences to my Sands cousins.
Summer time memories with my cousins at Aunt Red's home on Fornance St., will always hold a special place in my heart. My Mom, Julie, Aunt Red's sister, and I would walk from
E. Ridge Pike to Fornance St. to spend time at her home. We had such fun in the pool and later we would walk to the corner store/gas station to buy popsicles from the owner. His name escapes me, but he was very nice. He also had a boxer dog, who was friendly.
Those were the days and the memories.
Thank you, Aunt Reds for making my young life a happy one. God bless you and your family.
RIP Dear Aunt. Love you always, Niece Geri.

Jackie, Maria and Lisa, I am so very sorry for the devastating loss of your dear Mom! May God give you Girls strength, and keep you in the palm of his hands. I loved your Mom. She was sweet, kind and so funny! She had such a positive outlook on life and a contagious laugh which made her so much fun to be around. I feel so blessed that I got to spend so much time with her over the past 7 years, and that she and my Mom became such inseparable, good friends. Jackie, who knew that after spending 12 years at school together and our disco years of the 70’s together, our Moms would reunite us once again,
Rest In Peace, Reds. I will certainly miss you, and never forget you. You will forever be in my heart and in my prayers.
Keep dancing with the angels for all of eternity!

I met “Reds”, as everyone called her at Regina when I saw Jackie there. My mother is a resident. After meeting Reds, I would always say hi and she would ask who I was. I would tell her Jackie’s friend from Florida. We shared a love for the state. She was the sweetest resident there. Everyone loved her. I’m sure they will miss her there as I will when I can visit my mom. I just want to send my deepest sympathy to Jackie and her family. I know your mom is smiling down on you. Prayers to all.
