Obituary of James C. Tierney

James (Jim) Christopher Tierney, age 55, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.  

James was born in Wyoming, PA on November 10, 1963 to Anne Frances (Decker) Tierney and the late Leo Aloysius Tierney.  He had a long successful career working as a Food Broker for industry leaders such as Otis Spunkmeyer and BelPastry.  His warm personality, un-matched work ethic, and passion for his industry lead to numerous awards and accolades, but more importantly the respect of his colleagues and clients. He was an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Swedesburg, PA and loved his “Fighting Irish”.  

Along with his Mother, James will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rhonda (Colclough), daughters Olivia Tierney and Angela Tierney, stepdaughters Tyler Thomas (Will) and August Certelle.  He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, Leo Aloysius Tierney, Mary Ellen Theresa Boos (Frank), Joseph Paul Tierney (Francine), Anne Catherine Chmieleski (Mick), and Frank Patrick Tierney (Yolanda).  James will also be forever remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of James at 11:00AM on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Saint Patrick RC Church, 714 Dekalb Street, Norristown, PA 19401.  All are invited to the visitation prior to mass from 10:00am to 10:45am at Saint Patrick RC Church.
