Obituary of Samuel H. Venezia

Samuel H. Venezia, age 94, of Norristown, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Sam was born in Norristown, PA on August 31, 1924, a son of the late Antonio and Mary (Licata) Venezia.

He worked as a Caster for C&D Battery and H.C. Giamo.  He was a member of Holy Saviour RC Church of Norristown.  Sam honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. 

He was the husband of the late Rose (DePaolo) Venezia.

Survivors include his son, Samuel Venezia of Norristown;

three daughters, Joyce ( & Robert) Dengate of Lansdale, Rosie ( & Steve) Turley of Conshohocken and Christina Venezia of Norristown; 

three sisters, Frances ( & Joseph) Guarinello of Jeffersonville, Mary (the late Mike) Trecroce of Norristown, Anna ( & Anthony) Cianciulli of Norristown; 

and brother, Dr. Harry ( & Erminia "Errie")  Venezia of Ft. Washington.

He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Along with his wife and parents, Sam was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Venezia; 

and siblings, Lillian Giamo, Jenny Cagliola, Charles Venezia and Joseph Venezia.  

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Holy Saviour RC Church, 407 East Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at the Church.

Interment will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton.  

Memorial donations may be made in Sam's name to Holy Saviour Church at the above address.
