Obituary of James R. Geiser, Sr.

James R. Geiser Sr., 86, of Limerick, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of 65 years of Marie (Oelschlager) Geiser: Born in Pottstown, Pa., on February 26, 1928, he was a son of the late Frank and Esther (Hockman) Geiser. He was an outside maintenance worker for 21 years with the Perkiomen Valley School District, retiring in 1991. He previously worked at the Superior Tube Company of Collegeville. James was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, UCC of Collegeville. He was also a life member of the Perkiomen Township Fire Company and the Pikeville Gun Club of Boyertown. He enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters Christina Geiser of Naples, Fla., Cheryl Geiser of Limerick, Pa., Charlotte (Kevin) Christman of Green Lane, Pa.; a son, James Richard Geiser Jr. of Limerick, Pa.; grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan (Jennifer), Timothy (Amanda), Ashley (Josh), Wesley, Travis and Nikolaus; great-grandchildren, Devin, Lauren, Lucas, Lilly and Leila, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Ralph, Herbert and Lloyd; sisters Gladys and Virginia. A memorial service for James will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main Street, Trappe. The Rev. Dr. Martha Kriebel will be officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
