Obituary of John K. Houser

John K. " Jack" Houser of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Jersey Shore Medical Center of Neptune, N.J. He was 82. Born in Pottsville, Pa. on February 1, 1931, Jack has lived in Plymouth Meeting since 1982, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa. He was a member of St. Philip Neri RC Church of Lafayette Hill, Pa. Jack enjoyed gardening, following Philadelphia sports, traveling and sailing. He was a member of Long Beach Island Yacht Club. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Jack is survived by his wife, Jeannie (Gagliardi) Houser of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.; his son Clayton (Denise) Houser of Lafayette Hill, Pa.; two daughters, Stephanie Houser of Lansdale, Pa. and Tracy (Jonathan) McGuire of Lansdale, Pa.; a brother, William Houser of Terre Hill, Pa.; and a sister, Marian Murray of Lancaster, Pa.Also survived by eight grandchildren: Kevin, Courtney, Amanda, Jonathan, Jr., Patrick, Kathryn, John and Carly, and his great grandchildren Jayleene, Gabriella, and Lilianna. He was predeceased by his parents, Clayton D. Houser and Marian (Kennedy) Houser. His Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. from the St. Philip Neri RC Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill. Msgr. Charles P. Vance will be officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends following the mass. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Children's Hospital, 3401 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
