Obituary of Raymond A. Meinville

Raymond Arthur Meinville passed away at his home in Audubon, PA on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2013 at the age of 79. Ray is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Napoleon Meinville, and his brothers, Michael and Norman (Mary). Ray is survived by his loving wife Lucille of 57 years. They were married in Shenandoah, PA on June 25, 1955. Ray is lovingly remembered by his wife Lucille of Audubon; sister Irene (Al) Houle of Mapleville, RI; sister-in-law Louise(Michael) of Lincoln, RI; son Paul of Neptune, NJ; daughters Karen(Bill) Ivens of Kimberton, PA; Denise Oeil of Phoenixville, PA; and Michele(Rich) Decerio of Royersford, PA; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; cousin Art(JoAnn) LaVallee of Pascoag, RI and loving nieces and nephews, along with other relatives. Ray was born in Oakland, Rhode Island in 1933. He served in the US Marine Corps for four years where he attained the rank of Sargent and was a designated sharp shooter. He worked for Western Electric/AT&T as an installer and worked his way up to management as an electronics instructor. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, dancing, his favorite being the polka, woodworking, gardening and had a great love for music, mainly jazz. He was an avid NHL ice hockey fan, especially the Philadelphia Flyers, along with boxing and football. The funeral Mass will be held at Visitation B.V.M. Catholic Church, Trooper, PA on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. A military interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, at 2:30 P.M. Friends and family may be received prior to the service beginning at 9:00 A.M.
