Obituary of William J. Gray

William J. Gray, 54, of East Norriton, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Mercy Suburban Hospital, East Norriton. He was 54. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on March 31, 1959, son of the late Jack P. and Elizabeth L. (Hammerschmidt) Gray. He was a graduate of Norristown High School, and for the past 20-plus years, he was an auto painter at Orsini's Collision Service in Ardmore, Pa. Bill enjoyed spending time with his deeply beloved wife and stepdaughter. He also enjoyed spending time in Ocean City, N.J., where he would take long walks with his wife and little dog, Zoey. He also enjoyed watching his favorite Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Alice Gray of East Norriton; his stepdaughter, Lauren Moulder of East Norriton, Pa.; his brother, John (Claire) Gray of Vineland, N.J.; his sisters, Patricia (Bob) Young of Phoenixville, and Sandra (Alan) McManus of Plymouth Meeting. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery, Valley Forge, Pa. Memorials may be made in his name to: American Cancer Society , 480 Norristown Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422. A graduate of Norristown High School. Enjoyed spending time with his wife and traveling especially to New Jersey.
