Frederick J. Ambs, 83, of Pottstown, PA passed away on Thursday March 8, 2018. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 29, 1934. Fred has been living in Pottstown area since 2012, formerly of Florida where he lived for over 10 years, and Conshohocken where he lived most of his life, and he grew up in Manayunk section of Philadelphia. Fred served in the US Navy. He was a Salesman with Stroehmann Bakery. Son of the late - Frederick & Florence ( Rick ) Ambs. Beloved husband of the late Barbara J. (Wynn) Ambs. Survivors include his Daughter: Dorothy Mastrocola Conshohocken PA Son: Steven (and Vicki) Ambs Pottstown PA Son: Robert (& Cindy) Ambs Conshohocken PA Son: Ken (& Jillian) Ambs Newtown PA Daughter: Denise (& Heraldo) Otero Lake Mary FL Also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Ambs & a sister Helene Ambs. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA.
