Obituary of John E. Burt

John E. Burt, Sr. 94, of North Wales, PA passed away on Thursday February 2, 2017 in New Smyrna Beach, FL. He was born in Conshohocken, PA on February 14, 1922. John lived in North Wales, PA. He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II, where he received the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, Victory Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Theater Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars. He owned and operated Burt's Auto Repair, after retiring he worked as a courier with Merck. He enjoyed watching all Philadelphia Sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies. Son of the late Leo & Susan ( Smith ) Burt. Beloved husband of the late Catherine "Kay" (Botto) Burt. Survivors include his Daughter: Christine (& Howard Kollar) Sabo Son: John (& Linda) Burt, Jr. Daughter: Catherine (& Glenn) Huie Daughter: Libbi (& John) Bernard Son: Joseph (& Jill) Burt Daughter: Celine Shelley Daughter: Patricia Doles Daughter: Rita Burt (& John Weschler) Burt Son: Edward ( & MaryBeth ) Burt Daughter: Jane Pizarro Son: Jim Burt Sister: Theresa Pearson Also Survived By Many Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Brian Rand, and 4 brothers Thomas, Leo, Robert, Edward and a sister Marion. His Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM from the St. Matthew's RC Church, Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Friends may call on Saturday Morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the church. Interment will take place in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
