Obituary of Margaret M. Mager

Margaret M. Mager, age 93, of Skippack, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022 in her home surrounded by loved ones. 

She was born in West Conshohocken, PA on August 12, 1929, the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Frain) McCarron.

Margaret lived most of her life in Audubon, PA before moving to Skippack in 2019.  She was an active member of the former Calvary Episcopal Church of Conshohocken. She was a member of the altar guild, a former Sunday School Teacher and a volunteer at the annual Oyster & Ham Supper.

Margaret was a devoted wife to the late Michael M. Mager. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She so enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, supporting them in their various endeavors. She loved planting and caring for her beautiful window boxes that surrounded her home in Audubon, PA. 

She was also an accomplished seemstress and took great joy in creating and altering clothing for herself and her family. She even designed and fabricated all three of her daughters wedding dresses. Margaret's home was filled with music and she always loved a good joke and a laugh. 

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Mager of Oaks, PA, Holly Mager (& Thomas Ford) of Moorestown, NJ and Amy (& Thomas) Desilets of Skippack, PA; sister, Naomi McCarron of Schwenksville, PA; three grandchildren, William Johnson, Luke Desilets and Lily Desilets.  

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Anna Umble, Samuel McCarron, Jr., Richard McCarron, George McCarron, Elizabeth Vitabile, William McCarron and nephew, David Vitabile. 

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM from St. James' Episcopal Church, 3768 Germantown Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church.

Interment will take place in Gulph Christian Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
