Obituary of Robert W. Cairnes, Jr.

Robert W. Cairnes, Jr.

He was born in Chestertown, Maryland on November 15, 1938, the son of the late Robert W. Sr. and the late Hilda (Gross) Cairnes.

Bob lived in East Norriton for over 45 years, formerly of Hockesson, DE.

Bob was a member of St. Titus RC Church and an active member of St. Titus Athletic Club (STAC).

While living in Delaware, Bob volunteered with the local fire department.

In his professional life, he spent 30+ years as a Landscape Project Manager with Heyser Landscaping and Gordon Eadie and Associates.

He was the loving husband of Barbara ( Maziarz ) Cairnes.

Survivors include Wife Barbara Cairnes of East Norriton, Son Jon M. (Mary) Mann of Audubon, Daughter Jaimie M. (Steve Bliem) Mann of Reading, and his three Grandsons Ryan, Sean and Aidan Mann.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first Wife Barbara Ann (Grahamer) Cairnes and a son, Joel M. Mann.

Bob loved to garden and took great pride in the landscapes at his home. There was hardly a tree or plant native to the Northeast that he could not identify by both the common and Latin name.  He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their athletic and school events.  His MacGyver skills will always be appreciated by his children.  He was a kind, gentle man with a subtle wit and a giant heart.

His Memorial Mass will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Titus RC Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, East Norriton, PA.

Friends may call on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.

Interment will be private in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to your local Fire Company or the charity of your choice.

Arrangements by Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA, (610) 277-1600.
