Obituary of Carl D. Hartman

Carl D. Hartman, age 85, of Norristown, PA passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

He was born in Boyertown, PA on May 12, 1937, the son of the late Arthur R. and Dorothy (Werner) Hartman.

Carl has been living in Norristown since 1995, formerly of West Chester, PA.  He was a faithful Christian.  Carl had a 37-year career as a History Teacher for the West Chester Area School District.  Following his retirement, he founded Heirloom Clocks, buying, selling and restoring antique clocks.   

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Zummo) Hartman of Norristown, PA; son, John Eric Hartman of Norristown, PA; two daughters, Jeanne Marie (& Axel) VanBriesen of Pittsburgh, PA and Deb (& Jim) St. Louis of Ballwin, MO; and sister, Janice Renniger of Boyertown, PA.  Carl is also survived by five grandchildren, Jon, Shannon, Daniel, Grace & Mat.  

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Miller.  

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401.  Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. 

Entombment will take place at a later date in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
