Sending our condolences and love to the entire Hoy family. I will miss him. The whole family always felt like an extension of our own family. We have many great memories of Donald and of all the Hoy’s. As kids Donald was our activities director down in the meadow. It was like herding cats getting his younger siblings and we three neighbor kids to play whatever he had planned properly. FYI by the rules.

Don showed up to meet us the day we moved into our home on Indian Head Rd the summer of 1967. He'd walked all the way from his house on the other side of the Twin Bridges. We were 7. The only boys that age for miles. Don was a great friend. We both loved books and would swap whatever we got done with. Very saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to all his loved ones. Donald’s eye for photography also gave him a discerning eye toward the photographer. He knew right away that I was surreptitiously taking a photo from afar! So here’s a moment of casual chaos from River’s first birthday party, with Donald looking straight into the camera. From April 9, 2022 Love you Uncle Donald. Thank you for all the many photographs you took of us and the world that surrounds us.
