Sincere condolences for your loss. Even when a loved one seems to have lived a good full life, our time with them is cut short of our heart's desire. Proverbs 17:22 says "a joyful heart is good medicine", therefore, may precious memories bring you joy and warm your heart. In addition to the empathy, comfort and support of family and friends, another source of comfort that is readily available any time day or night, is our loving Heavenly Father, and he is only a prayer away. Psalm 65:2 calls God the "Hearer of prayer", and Psalm 145:18 says he "is near to all those calling on him". Revelation 21:4 says "and he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more". The tears spoken of here are not tears of happiness and joy, but tears of mourning, outcry, sorrow and pain. Acts 24:15 holds out the hope of the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in death. May Jehovah, the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3,4), comfort you in your time of need.
