The first time I met John was a couple of days before his daughter married my son. He was so friendly and welcoming and that's when I saw the caring relationship he and my son shared. Thank you for that. You are one of those, people, John, whom we never forget. I, for one, will not.

More recently, Uncle John and I were train buddies while we were both working in the city. I’ll never forget how he always called me Amanda Sue (I don’t have a middle name), and would do the “high-low-too slow” growing up…I always fell for it and he’d laugh.

In Maya Angelou’s words, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”. John’s gentle and kind nature will remain more than a memory but, a lasting feeling within the hearts graced by his presence for just a moment and those blessed to be loved by him. John shared his love abundantly! We know and continue to feel this memory of his spirit in our hearts. Thank you, John.
