He was a member of Olivet Schwenkfelder U.C.C. of East Norriton. He was an Electrician and 65 year member of I.B.E.W. Local 380. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed family gatherings.

Obituary of Willard Carey Tupper, Jr.

Willard Carey Tupper, Jr., 87, of West Norriton, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2017 with his family at his side. He was born in Norristown, PA on November 4, 1929, the son of the late Verda (Anders) and Willard Carey Tupper. Carey, formerly of Whitpain Township, had been a resident of the Greens at Westover since 1998, where he was active in the community. He also loved spending time at his home in Vero Beach, FL. He was a member of Olivet Schwenkfelder U.C.C. of East Norriton. Mr Tupper was an Electrician and proud 65 year member of I.B.E.W. Local 380. He was also an Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a lifelong avid fan of professional and collegiate Philadelphia area sports teams, who especially enjoyed attending his great nephews' sporting events and family gatherings. Carey could always be counted on to volunteer for home improvement projects. Survivors include his brother, George W. Tupper of Plymouth Meeting; Four nieces, Deborah Farrington of Collegeville, Karen Gazzillo of Chadds Ford, Patricia ( & Doug) Clovis of Collegeville, and Barbara Atkinson of Pottstown; Three nephews, Chris Tupper of Boyertown, Craig ( & Tracey) Tupper of Limerick, and Stanley ( & Michelle) Rose of East Greenville. Carey is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and 4 great - great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Arlene Rose. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:30 AM from the Olivet Schwenkfelder United Church of Christ, 619 Township Line Road, East Norriton, PA 19403. The Rev. Leslie Kearney will officiate. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church. Interment will take place in Limerick Garden of Memories.
